Winter footwear FAQ
Should my crew wear pac boots or overshoes?
Pac boots replace the work boot entirely and give the most warmth for long days outside. Snowgear overshoes go over the boots your crew already wears, adding insulation and studded grip without a second pair of boots. Many companies offer both and let employees choose.
How do Snowgear overshoes fit?
Order the same size as your regular work boot: a size 10 overshoe fits over a size 10 work boot. There are no half sizes, so if you wear a half size, order one size up (a 10.5 orders an 11). Women’s sizes run two up from men’s (a women’s 6 is a men’s 4). Questions? Call us.
Can strap-on studs go over pac boots?
Yes. Strap-on studs work over regular work boots and over all three of our pac boot styles. Because the fit depends on the boot, we size them to the boot you’ll wear them with.
How do I size strap-on studs?
Each stud size covers a range of boot sizes, and the right one depends on the boot’s sole. Call 763-253-1062 or email us with the boot style and size, and we’ll recommend the right pair.
Do you offer pricing for companies?
Yes. We have special pricing for bulk orders and for companies that set up a winter program, along with industrial pricing discounts, eligibility and subsidy management, customized billing and online ordering.
Can you come to our site?
Yes. We schedule in-person boot truck visits throughout the local area, bringing pac boots, overshoes and studs right to your site and fitting every employee on the spot. For large teams and companies, we’ve traveled across the US to fit crews where they work. Ask about a visit.
